My greatest distraction is deffently TV. When my girlfriend always tries to talk to me when I am watching TV and she actully thinks that I am paying attention. It is all good as long as she does not ask me any questions about what she is talking about.

My greatest distraction is video games, and next would probably be my wife.. if i could get rid of her, the games may not be so bad..hmmmm. but really, i think that implementing some sort of plan to reduce game time and increase time spent on school work and with the wife would be a good idea. I fell this would be a good idea bacuase school is getting tougher and well... the wife could always use more "her" time...

My distractions are if someone is talking about something that I'm not interested in. My mind will tend to wander off and I get lost about what they are talking about

The number one distraction for me is the noise around, whatever it is and no matter how loud it is. I get easily distracted by any kind of noise and unfortunately it is everywhere and I can not do anything about it. I should learn how to adapt to my surrounding. Another distraction is when the person I am talking to or listen to walks too much, and too fast back and forth. It is just me. Lastly, I distract myself. This is because of so many thoughts in my head. I get preoccupied just sorting them out. So, I am trying to slow down, so I can listen, focus and understand.

My biggest distraction has to be talking while trying to do homework or just people in my house that talk too loud. I like for it to be totally quiet in order to get work done. One way I deal with that is just by going to another room. I also tend to do other things while someone is teaching..I try not to but it happens! I can TRY to pay attention, or go to another room when I am trying to finish work.

Music is my biggest distraction, but I think it can also be a positive influence. Its potential pros and cons depend heavily on volume, tone, tempo, content, and situation.

Motivation in a workplace may be improved by allowing employees to listen to music they enjoy. As long as the music is within established bounds or guidelines, this can improve productivity. If the music becomes the focus, or if the music begins to distract other employees, cons will quickly outweight the pros. This situation should obviously be discouraged. Deadlines and headphones should help.

I probably won't reduce the amount of time I spend on music for a rather simple reason: I'm addicted to it. I tend to end up working in places where I can listen to what i want - or at least talk about it.

On the other hand, a lot of customer service situations probably won't benefit from this privilege. Fortunately, I'm aimed at the reclusive field of web design. I'm also likely to avoid customer service positions because of the time I've spent working in retail. Retail sucks... don't do it.

my greatest distraction is my own thoughts. my mind races costantly and i am always thinking of 10 things at once. it's very hardd for me to sit and consentrate on 1 thing for an extended period of time. one thought will lead to another and another and another, before i know it i can't remember what my original thought was or how i got to where i currently am. frustrating at times.

Distractions...Hmmm, where to start? One that comes to mind is really a pet peave. While at work or in class, it is very rude for a person to be typing away on the keyboard, or carrying on a conversation while another person (instructor, co-worker, or peer) has the floor. The lack of respect is unbelievable...

There are many distractions which I endure on a daily basis. However, one of my primary distractions is multi-tasking. I spend countless of hours trying accomplish many things yet to my dismay I hardly ever devote my full attention towards rectifying any one issue fully. Sometimes there are simple issues in which can be address immediately however I push them to the side to address issue which is bigger and more complex. However the downside to pushing these smaller issues aside is that they accumulate much faster than the big ones in which I'm trying to solve. Then in order to catch up I only devoted a few seconds of my time to address each issue and many times I would miss little details which created even more problems.

One of my biggest distractions is the internet (Myspace). I sometimes will try to do my work and decide to take a break and get on myspace then don't finish my work. The phone is also a big distraction for me everytime I'm trying to do something my phone rings. Drives my husband nuts! Sometimes he turns off my phone without me knowing.
